When you read this, Mike Hawes and I will be in a remote, off-grid village in Guatemala, working on our Unity of Ft Collins partnership with the village of La Bendición. We have taken several suitcases of books with which to begin the new community library! When we come back, we will be able to share many more details about the project plans for the larger service trip Unity folks will take at the end of May 2017. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
When you read this, I imagine that we will have elected a new President. I know that many, many people are doing their part to help heal the hurt that has happened throughout this election. Our Unity is continuing to hold calm, loving space, as we seek to move beyond “winner and losers,” “us and them,” and help create a consciousness that works toward the highest good of all.
This Sunday, prepare to be delighted with our guest speaker, Dennis Warner, who will speak on “How We’re More Alike Than We Are Different.” The talk affirms our connected-ness around the world like beautiful beads on a necklace and includes an entertaining PowerPoint presentation of how his book and song Beads on One String came about. Dennis has done workshops around the country on this topic, as well as speaking at many Unity churches.
Somos el barco, somos el mar.
Yo navego en ti, Tú navegas en mi.
PS – While I am gone this week, Lynn Kendall will be available and on-call for any spiritual emergencies: 970-493-3192.
