The greatest birthday gift my husband could receive is if people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds celebrated the holiday by performing individual acts of kindness through service to others. ~Coretta Scott King

Treats and Retreats.

September 13, 2018

This week’s Sunday morning services feature John Magnie and his family – Lauren, Bo, and Elena – who will be providing a special treat for us with their beautiful soul music. Some of our congregants will still be up in the mountains celebrating the Presence in the great outdoors at the Buckhorn Retreat.

Both of these events have inspired the title of my talk, “Treats and Retreats.”
As I reflect on balance and the upcoming Fall Equinox, I am reminded of the importance of play times and laughter and Sabbath and treats and retreats – and all kinds of good stuff!

In yet another seasonal transition, we say thank you to the lingering blessings of summertime and hello to the dawning blessings of autumn. We celebrate the treats we received from the summer, and we take time to retreat and prepare for harvest.

I look forward to celebrating “just another magic Sunday” at Unity of Fort Collins.

Have a weekend of joy!
