What is the next step for Unity & what role will you take to help make this happen?

The next steps for Unity I am not sure what they will be as a movement. I do believe that in November the direction of what will happen will possibly be clearer. I would like to see more social media advertising it as a movement to get the word out. I believe something more than Daily Word is needed. But I do not know what funds nationally are available.

The role I will take is what I am currently doing and will continue to do in the future. I love being a prayer chaplain and I enjoy serving in that way for others. I think the next best step for Unity would be to reach out to the disenfranchised from “church“, the thinkers and mystics, who no longer want the dogma, doctrine, and political unfriending that has become the heartbeat of religion. Just how to accomplish the “reaching out” I do not know. A larger social media presence might help. Another thought that comes to mind is active participation in community events like Earth Day, craft fairs, or a farmer’s market, anywhere there could be a table with books, buttons,stickers, and other spiritually oriented representations of Unity. And of course, peopled with happy, smiling, loving, Unity people. In a former political environment, this wouldn’t pose a safety risk but in the current political environment it could.

The way I can help in Unity’s next step moving forward is to continue to support Unity with my presence, my involvement, and financially.

 What is the next step for Unity? Well, for one Unity right now is in the midst of merging together with Unity Worldwide Ministries and the way the two entities will operate is unknown at this time. It is unclear to know what the next step for Unity are. Until a direction is chosen it is hard to say what I could do for Unity as a whole.

Locally, I serve my spiritual community by being a prayer chaplain praying for members on a monthly basis and by being available after service as the prayer chaplain for any congregant who would like or needs prayer that day. I also participate on the welcoming committee. I also participate in the prosperity team, working on ways to make the church more prosperous.
