Hello All, From BJ
Wow what a great discussion. I went to some of my "metaphysical" books, this is what I found pertaining to Jesus : Jesus demonstrated perfectly how to have a relationship with the universe and with a God of love that is based on our unity with the One. Two statements Jesus made "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you" (Luke. 17:21) - the statement affirms our oneness with God now and always. Next, (Matt. 9:29)"It is done unto you as you believe" - this affirms the power of one's thinking when aligned with one's deepest beliefs. (from "How to Speak SOM" p.51)
The word "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos , which means "anointed" or "enlightened one". Dr. Holmes believed "Christ is a universal idea, and each one 'puts on the Christ' to the degree that he surrenders a limited sense of life to the Divine Realization of wholeness and unity with Good, Spirit, God." (How to speak SOM p.13).
And Ginger was correct in saying that even Fillmore and Holmes used Jesus's name as 'Jesus Christ'.
Blessings to all - till next week - BJ
