There is an equity emblem on our sign at the edge of our road. It proclaims: Diverse, Inclusive, Accepting, Welcoming... These are our values! But is it enough? Do we need to share what that means with our community? We believe so. We are therefore showing this film to keep us informed as to mis-interpretation and mis-information is harmful.
This award-winning film received several rewards at the Sundance Film Festival. It shows how the religious right has used its interpretation of the Bible to stigmatize the gay community. For the Bible Tells Me So is a compassionate and insighttful documentary about the contemporary conflict between Christian fundamentalists and gay and lesbian people. The film looks deep into the hearts of several families that have a homosexual son or daughter in their family.
