About the event
When the Fire Came
Sometimes the “fire” comes as loss, change, conflict, illness, or an unexpected turning point. Such moments can unsettle us, but they can also awaken us. They ask us to look beneath everything we have accumulated and ask: What do I truly value? What can I let go? What cannot be taken from me?
Drawing inspiration from the Confucian sacred story When the Fire Came, we’ll explore the sacredness of relationship and the spiritual treasures no fire can consume. Perhaps we don't need to wait for a crisis to discover what matters most. We can recognize it, treasure it, and live it now.
This is the second of a continuing series of Sacred Stories being retold.
