I think the next best step for Unity would be to reach out to the disenfranchised from “church“, the thinkers and mystics, who no longer want the dogma, doctrine, and political unfriending that has become the heartbeat of religion. Just how to accomplish the “reaching out” I do not know. A larger social media presence might help. Another thought that comes to mind is active participation in community events like Earth Day, craft fairs, or a farmer’s market, anywhere there could be a table with books, buttons,stickers, and other spiritually oriented representations of Unity. And of course, peopled with happy, smiling, loving, Unity people. In a former political environment, this wouldn’t pose a safety risk but in the current political environment it could.
The way I can help in Unity’s next step moving forward is to continue to support Unity with my presence, my involvement, and financially.
Another way we can all support Unity is by growing spiritually in love and radiating that love to the world, becoming a beacon of love that guides people to Unity to get what we have.
i Gwen, I think that's a good point. I think that there on people on both sides, those who seek a more religious message and those desiring a more spiritual one. I think that it is hard to try and please everyone. I do believe that people in Unity are kind and loving people that can agree to receive both types of spiritual messages.
