Body, Mind, Spirit Healing

As a student and practitioner working in the healing arts I have seen first hand how our thoughts can affect our health. It can happen in many different ways and for many different reasons. Usually we don't even realize what we are experiencing in our lives and what we are allowing in that affects our health and brings about dis-ease. Are we completely stressed out? Overwhelmed? Depressed? Are we grieving a loss? What is our quality of life like? Do we have a good and positive support system? Are we overcoming trauma/abuse? There are countless other issues that can contribute to our dis-ease. It is really easy to miss the signs in our busy daily lives. It can be easy for our thoughts and emotions to take root in our physical and mental bodies. The roots will seek out whatever chinks we have in our armor and plant themselves there. Perhaps we are predisposed to heart issues or cancer - that is our chink in the armor. We can talk to our bodies, our cells, our organs - every part of ourselves big and small including our higher selves to see what we need or don't need. We can learn to scan our bodies to find dis-ease and then have a dialogue with it to find out what is out of balance and what might help relieve it. There are many different "alternative" healing modalities but I think it all works best when we can integrate western medicine, prayer, positivity and body/energy work. It can all work together to help us heal ourselves but we must truly believe it will. Our bodies want to heal themselves but sometimes we just need a little help.

Yes. Tuning in to our body, listening, and talking to it, is such an important practice.
